Our Mission
We are a non-profit organization dedicated to the support and programming of the historic Dawn Theater in downtown Hillsdale, Michigan. Through the Dawn Theater, we aim to enhance the quality of life in our community and contribute to its economic vitality by sponsoring, promoting, and organizing activities around the performing arts. We believe that by fostering these activities within our community, we contribute to the important artistic vitality, knowledge, expression, and growth of its citizens.
Organ Restoration Goal!
Along with all the amazing contributions made by supporters of the Dawn Theater and the Wurlitzer organ restoration project, the Hampson Albert Sisler (HAS) Foundation has provided a generous grant that has brought our financial goal to the finish line!
Thanks to all our generous supporters, we look forward to completing the organ project in spring of 2026. Bravo!

Rehabilitation of the Dawn Theater in Hillsdale, Michigan
Originally built in 1919, the Dawn Theater was restored in 2021 and opened for business once more as a mixed-use event space and performing arts venue.

The community celebrated the magic of The Nutcracker with select scenes perfomred by the Hillsdale College Tower Dancers. The joyful presentation highlighted high-energy dancing, beloved music, and a unique special workshop following the performance. The free event was open to the public.
